Joseph Lasky Jr. serves as the director for Scheck Industries’ corporate safety, health, environment and risk management functions and programs. He serves as the single point of contact and advisor on all safety, health, environmental and loss control issues for all operations of Scheck Industries, Inc. nationwide. Joe serves as the functional liaison with federal, state, and local authorities, insurance carriers, attorneys and customers. Joe joined Scheck Industries in 2007. He has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry and construction project safety management. Joe has been a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) since 1986. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
Active in a variety of civic and professional organizations, Joe is treasurer for the Local Three Rivers ASSE Chapter, and planning committee member for the Annual Chicagoland Safety Conference which is held at the Northern Illinois Campus in Naperville, Illinois. Joe served as President of the Local Three Rivers ASSE Chapter in 2004 and 2005 and received the Chapter Safety Professional of the Year award in 2005. He also led that organization to receive the Chapter Stars Recognition Award for 2004-5.
Joe also serves on the Safety Committees for The Association of Union Constructors (TAUC), the National Association of Construction Boilermakers Employers (NACBE), and the National Safety Council Construction Division.
He is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana, having earned a bachelor of science degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences – Biology. He also is a graduate of Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, and holds a master’s degree in Industry & Technology – majoring in Safety & Industrial Hygiene.
