No single outage is the same but Scheck’s Boiler Group sailed through Dominion’s outage downstate at Kincaid, Illinois. Scheck Industrial’s Project Team mobilized a work force of over 50 tradecraft and successfully completed the outage on two units as planned.
Unit One
- Removed three layers of catalyst in the SCR
- Installed two layers of catalyst and associated seals
- Removed and changed elevation and reinstall sonic horns on 2 catalyst layers
- Installed thirteen air cannons on the top catalyst elevation along with associated piping, supports, guides, air tanks and control panels
- Removed and replaced One Gas Recirculation fan rotor
Unit Two
- Remove three layers of catalyst in the SCR
- Installed two layers of catalyst and associated seals
- Removed and changed elevation and reinstall sonic horns on 2 catalyst layers
- Installed thirteen air cannons on the top catalyst elevation along with associated piping, supports, guides, air tanks and control panels
